Has it really been two months since I last posted??

Feels more like two years! We've had a busy couple of months - 2 birthdays, a spring break and the final weeks of the kids activities.

Sam turned 2 in April during spring break. We spent a few days in Edmonton with Grandma and celebrated his big day with a trip to the zoo (which was only half open it being April and all :P) and some cake after supper.

Sarah's birthday was next in May. She's 9 years old already! We had a much quieter birthday with a few friends and a movie. It was much less stress than last year, I tell ya!

Michael has started hockey boot camp which runs from May to August three days a week. He's been doing mostly dry land training and gets ice time starting in the middle of June. Hopefully, it will show in the evaluations this year as ho goes into his first year of midget (15-18 year olds). He was a little nervous about playing with guys 3 years older than him but he has really sprouted up (he's 5'11" already!) and the boot camp will help him have some confidence, I think. He can certainly hold his own with the big boys.

Emily is still preparing for her big trip to Kenya in the summer. One month left until she leaves. We have shopping to do but she has received her immunizations and prescriptions for traveling to a third world country. We're excited and a little nervous. I think the pros outweigh the cons, though. I think... :)

I had a little vacation in May as well (Henfest 2010 - Runnin' Free in Kimberley!). Grandma came to help look after the kids so I could have an extra long weekend with a bunch of friends. We went to Kimberly, BC where one of the ladies has a timeshare. So much fun!! It was great to get away from the daily grind and hang out with some fantastic and inspiring women. I do think I was the oldest one there but I didn't get left behind - no siree! LOL There weren't any morning runs for me (and there probably never will be) but I did do an after supper walk. My favorite part of the whole weekend was just getting know some women that I have always admired but never really hung out with. I think I made some new friends - hopefully they did, too. :)
